제안. 주장. 요구. 명령 의 should

 

주절의 동사의 의미가

제안 (suggest = propose)                                                         이때, that 이하의 동사는

주장 (insist; ask)                    이고 that이하의 의미가               시제와 인칭에 관계없이

요구 (demand)                       + 당위성을 가질 때                     should + 동사원형을 쓴다!

명령 (order; command)                                                              이때, should는 생략가능

 

 

예를 들어)

① Doctors suggested that patients with covid-19 [stay / stayed] home.

② This graph suggested that smokers in Korea gradually [increase / had increased].

* It was important that a person injured in an accident [be sent / was sent] to hospital immediately.

③ My teacher insisted that students [focus / focused] on study in school.

④ Sujin insisted that the accident [happen / happened] over there.

 

 

연습

① All doctor insist someone who develops the virus disease [stay / stays / stayed] at home.

② All the evidence suggested that he [commits / commit / committed] the crime.

Right before the launch,

engineers expressed concerns about mechanical malfunctions

and advised that the launching be postponed.

 

 

좀 더 쉬운 버전

보통 시험에서는 suggest, insist 가 나온다.

suggest    ①　~을 제안하다                       : 시제일치 (X) should 동사원형

                 ②　~을 시사하다; 암시하다        : 시제일치 (0)

 

insist        ①　~하라고 주장하다                 : 시제일치 (X) should 동사원형

                ②　~했다고 주장하다                 : 시제일치 (0)
